A first trailer has been released for the US remake of Broadchurch, entitled Gracepoint.
The trailer features David Tennant, star of the UK series, and Anna Gunn, previously seen in Breaking Bad. Tennant will be playing Detective Emmett Carver, while Gunn plays his partner Detective Ellie Miller as the two investigate the murder of a 12 year old boy. The show also features Micheal Peña, Nick Nolte and Jacki Weaver. Tennant teased earlier this year that the show will follow the storyline of the original, but that there will be additional twists and turns as the series continues.
Gracepoint is set to air in the US on Thursdays on Fox, and will run concurrently with the second series of the UK series, in which Tennant also stars. It was announced earlier this week that Tennant will be joined again by Olivia Coleman and Arthur Darvill.
