It has been revealed that The Great British Bake Off is to have a spinoff show. It will be piloted by BBC Two next week, before a full season this coming Summer.
The spinoff show will be entitled The Great British Bake Off – An Extra Slice and will air on BBC Two once the main show has finished over on BBC One.
The spinoff will feature a panel of celebrities who are to reflect on the episode that has just aired, along with the contestant who has been eliminated joining them. The spinoff, which is reminiscent of other BBC spinoffs such as The Apprentice: You’re Fired, will feature unseen moments that didn’t make the cut of the main show and will also include home-bakes from the audience.
The popular baking show was recently promoted to BBC One after airing on BBC Two for four seasons.
