UK Foo fans, rejoice! The rock band have announced new dates for their previously postponed UK tour.
Foo Fighters were forced to cancel three of their UK dates last month, due to the injuries that frontman Dave Grohl sustained at a gig in Gothenburg, Sweden. The band were two songs into their set at Gothenburg, when Grohl suddenly fell off stage and fractured his right leg. The rocker later required surgery in London – just a few days before the band’s two headlining dates at Wembley.
The band also missed their headline spot at Glastonbury, but have since returned to the stage – playing several venues on their North American tour. At recent shows, Grohl has been performing on a Game of Thrones inspired chair, that the singer reportedly designed in hospital, whilst high on pain medication.
The new dates for the rescheduled shows are as follows: For those originally headed to the Wembley shows, two concerts will now be held at the Milton Keynes Bowl on 5th and 6th September. Meanwhile Edinburgh fans will get their opportunity to see the band on 8th September at the Murrayfield Stadium.
Anyone who has previously purchased tickets will be emailed a pre-sale code on 14th July, so that they can replace their tickets 48 hours in advance of the general sale, which starts at 10am on the 17th.
The support acts remain the same as the cancelled gigs – Iggy Pop (Milton Keynes) and Royal Blood (Edinburgh) – with more to be announced at a later date.
