After the phenomenal success of last year’s Mockingjay – Part One showings, the Union Films team have been working tirelessly to get the final part of The Hunger Games series onto their screen. Now, they’ve succeeded.
In huge news for Union Films, they have acquired rights to show The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 before any other cinema in the Southampton region. The first showing will be a midnight screening on the 19th November, a day before its nationwide UK release.
The final part of the incredibly popular science-fiction series sees Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) lead a team of rebels into the heart of Panem, the Capitol, to finish their revolution and kill President Snow (Donald Sutherland). With all 13 Districts united for the first time, there’s little standing in her way. Except for Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) who has been turned against Katniss after his torture at the hands of Snow. Not to mention the sadistic series of traps in the Capitol, planned by Gamemakers.
Union Films will be releasing more information in the coming weeks.
