Disney have today released a new trailer for their upcoming live action remake of Beauty and the Beast.
The two-minute trailer shows us footage of all the main cast including Emma Watson’s Belle, Dan Stevens’ Beast, Luke Evans’ Gaston, Ewan McGregor’s Lumiere, Emma Thompson’s Mrs Potts and Sir Ian McKellan’s Cogsworth, along with some stunning visuals of Beast’s castle and some background of the familiar story. Other cast members include Josh Gad as Le Fou, Kevin Kline as Maurice and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette. The film will be directed by Bill Condon (Dreamgirls).
The film is the latest in a long line of Disney live action remakes of their classic animated movies which previously include Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Cinderella and, most recently, The Jungle Book and Pete’s Dragon. With recent news that Disney are also pushing forward with live action remakes of both Mulan and The Lion King, the Mouse House will be hoping for another smash hit, when Beauty and the Beast hits cinemas in early 2017.
Beauty and the Beast is set for release on 17th March 2017. Watch the trailer below:
