Organisers of the popular music festival Bestival have announced that its site – which has hosted the event for 13 years – will be moving from the Isle of Wight to Dorset.
The festival’s creator Rob Da Bank – who has also introduced Southampton to his Bestival brand with the sister event Common People – announced on Facebook this morning (Thursday 15th) that they have applied for permission to hold Bestival 2017 at Lulworth Castle in Dorset; the home of Camp Bestival.
Da Bank has reassured fans that even with this change, they should expect “an incredible line-up” with “headliners confirmed and ridiculous new stages and installations” on the way.
The creator also added: “We remain fully committed to supporting the Isle of Wight through music, charities and projects and will be giving Islanders an exclusive ticket offer for the new site.”
Camp Bestival, which is aimed at children and families, will be taking place for the tenth occasion late July of next year at the Lulworth Estate. Mark Ronson has already been confirmed at the festival’s headliner.
