London Grammar have come a long way since they emerged on the scene back in December with debut single ‘Hey Now’. Their stunning brand of art rock has built them up a loyal fanbase, with their single ‘Wasting My Young Years’ reaching 31 in the charts and a new record on the horizon, it’s only a matter of time before they make it in the mainstream.
‘Strong’ is typically beautiful, with Hannah Reid’s powerful vocals commanding the listeners attention while being accompanied by the bands distinctive synthesised instrumentals. The piece runs the risk of feeling ostentatious due to being anything but replete of digital production flourishes, yet the music ends up being completely mesmerising. With a striking music video to match, London Grammar seem to be doing everything right.
