Review: Sigala – ‘Easy Love’

This track combines one of my favourite things with one of my least favourite – The Jackson 5’s ‘ABC’ and remixes of popular songs. But London-based DJ Sigala has managed to combine the two to create something that is nothing short of perfect.

Just listening to the first minute of the track you can see exactly why the likes of Radio 1 are championing it and why it is being playlisted absolutely everywhere right now. ‘Easy Love’ just screams summer anthem; it’s upbeat, cheery and builds and explodes in all the right places. I said in my review of Ella Eyre’s ‘Good Times‘ that her latest single will be used in all of the inevitable GoPro summer compilations at the end of the season, but I was wrong – this song will be used on those. This will no doubt be the biggest hit of the summer and it has all come from an artist who nobody had heard of a month or so ago and only has just over 1,000 likes on his Facebook page.

If you only listen to one song for the rest of this summer, or only add one new song to your favourite playlist, make sure Sigala’s ‘Easy Love’ is it.
