Review by David Martin, Features Editor (ranked the album #7):

Bombay Bicycle Club’s third studio album A Different Kind of Fix is stellar evidence of what the band have managed in their progression, as they build upon their previous releases to create a wonderfully energetic and melodic album. Their newest piece of work is full of catchy riffs and atmospheric sounds, but in a gentle manner underpinning the softer vibes that have brought success to the four-piece. Merging the two elements of their previous albums with newfound confidence, ‘Shuffle’ has an instantly remarkable rhythm and dynamism, while songs such as ‘Leave It’ provide us with glimpses of their fine-tempered craftsmanship that has come from a growing maturity. The end result has been an excellent example of the band’s increasing musical diversity.
