Lily Allen has released a video to brand new song ‘Hard Out Here’ after a series of cryptic clues on Twitter.
Tweeting this morning that it was a “Big day”, Lily Allen has sent out a series of clues to be entered into her website to unveil images and videos. Each of the answers involved the names of women who have been controversial figures throughout history.
Answers including Elizabeth I, Diana and Monica (Lewinsky) unveiled photos and gifs, before the answer “Miley” unveiled a teaser clip of distorted video and sound featuring herself in a gold room, surrounded by several dancers.
A further clue led to the full length video to ‘Hard Out Here’ which is her first original music since the 2009 album It’s Not Me, It’s You. The track tackles the sexism faced by women in 2013.
The singer who recently featured in John Lewis’s new Christmas advert is due to release her third studio album in 2014.
